Get Help

You're Welcome Here. No Exceptions.

Maybe you've never had to ask for help before. Maybe you've been putting this off for weeks. Maybe a friend told you about us, or you found us out of desperation at 2 a.m.

However you got here — we're glad you came.

Crosslines has been serving Eastern Jasper County for over 40 years. In that time, we've learned one thing above everything else: needing help doesn't say anything about who you are. It says you're human. It says life got hard. It says you're doing what it takes to take care of yourself and the people you love.
That's not weakness. That's exactly the kind of person we're here for.

Who We Serve

We serve low-income residents of Eastern Jasper County, including:
  • Families with children
  • Single adults
  • Senior citizens
  • Veterans
  • Individuals with disabilities

Our service area includes: Carthage, Avilla, Reeds, Sarcoxie, Jasper, Diamond, and La Russell.

If you're not sure whether you qualify, please call us anyway. We'd rather have that conversation in person than have you go without.

What We Offer

Food Pantry

Nutritious food distributed in accordance with USDA guidelines. We stock what families actually need — not just whatever's left over.

Gently used clothing for men, women, and children, available to browse and take.

Hygiene Essentials

Toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, and other personal care items.

Household Items

Things that make a house a home — dishes, linens, cleaning supplies, and more when available.

How It Works

We want your first visit to feel as easy as possible. Here's exactly what to expect.

Give Us a Call

Give us a call to make an appointment. We'll tell you exactly what you need to bring with you to your first appointment. 📞 (417) 358-1577

Meet With Us

A volunteer or staff member will sit with you, go over what you need, and walk you through what's available. There's no rush. We have time for you.

Receive Help

Eligible clients may receive their food allotment once per month. Clothing and household items are available based on current inventory.

A Note to Anyone Who's Hesitating

If you're sitting on the fence, wondering if your situation is "bad enough" to ask for help — let us answer that for you. Yes. It is.

You don't have to be at rock bottom.  If you're struggling to keep food on the table, to clothe your kids, or to manage the basics — that's what we're here for.
The families we serve include working parents, fixed-income seniors, veterans coming home to hard circumstances, and people who, six months ago, never thought they'd need a food pantry. Life turns fast. We don't judge how you got here. We're just glad you came.
